MetroWest Daily News: Letters to the Editor: Energy moratoria growing threat to area competitiveness

Tom O’Rourke, president & CEO of the Neponset River Regional Chamber, calls for action on the Massachusetts’ energy shortage, in order for the state to remain competitive:

“New Englanders already pay the highest power supply prices in the continental United States — and 9,000 jobs are at risk over the next four years, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce if we don’t do something about rising energy costs.

The time has come to address our energy shortage — to provide our communities with the clean, affordable and reliable energy our homes and businesses need to stay strong and compete on a level playing field.”
